Siren is an American traditional heavy metal band that was formed in Brandon, Florida in 1981. The Tampa Bay area was a hot spot for metal in the early and mid-80’s producing several notable bands such as Savatage, Obituary, Nasty Savage, Iced Earth and many more.

In 1984, the band released its debut 7” single, “Metro-Mercenary,” which was very well-received in the metal underground. Having established themselves, they followed up the single with a four-song cassette, “Iron Coffins,” in 1985. 

By early 1986, the band had refined its sound and released their most powerful demo, “Dead of Night.” It was the strength of this demo that landed them their first record deal with a German label. The resulting album, “No Place Like Home,” was released in the fall of 1986.

The band toured and promoted their debut album in 1987 and re-entered the studio in 1988 to record “Financial Suicide.” Despite continued positive critical and fan response, Siren would eventually go on hiatus by 1990.

This break would span decades and seemed to be the end of the road for the band until fate intervened.

At the request of fans from around the world, Siren was offered the chance to reunite and perform at the popular KEEP IT TRUE festival in Germany in 2018. It was this unexpected reunion and the journey to perform at KIT that was captured in the documentary film, "I'm Too Old for This Sh*t! A Heavy Metal Fairy Tale" produced by multifaceted entertainer, Chris Jericho.

After the amazing experience of performing together again, the band entered the studio again to record an album of new material. This album, “Back from the Dead” was released in 2020. Their new album, “A Mercenary’s Fate,” was released in 2022. The music continues in the vein of their influences such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept and Saxon but with a sound that is uniquely their own.
